I made Halloween clothes for my dolls
Is once more time for that happy time of the year. Halloween. Where we decorate and then sit for one month and watch horror movies. Anyone else? Or is that just me?
Thana was not too hard to fix up, as I mixed up some of the clothes I made for her last year and dressed her up in blacks and oranges. She just looks cute in anything, so that is no problem. The hard one was Gabriel, as she has not gotten any Halloween clothes yet, and I needed to make something fitting a Queen. A demon Queen that is!
I made the jacket from a pattern I got from a Etsy store, then I made a giant skirt from two shawls I had bought from a used store. I added some hook buttons to the jacket, and added some bling.
The beads around her head is made from a cut up from a decoration to put around lights, that also were bought used. I think what I used the most money on was the horns, wings and new wig I had to order. That is a story all in itself, as I was sure it would not arrive in time, but then on wedensday, I got a message it had arrived in Norway after 2 months. Then I get a message on friday, the last day of mail before the weekend, that says they tried to put it in my box, but it was too big, and I would get a message when it was at the mail office.
So I wait, and hear nothing. Then I start growing worried: What if it won’t come before Halloween is over? What would I do then? It would just be for some pictures then before I start preparing her for Christmas instead (I have plans okay?!)
So I go to mail office and ask, and it was not there, which meant it would not come before monday. But they said that if I were fast, I might be able to find it at the terminal. So I went, and was lucky there was some drivers there, one I knew. And they asked around, and found the lady that drove the mail that day, and she got it for me. Is a real Halloween miracle!
Was two wigs, one I don’t think I will use, as the white one with twin tails was just awesome. Pair or horns with magnetic clips, wings and two head bands with butterfly wings (see Thana).
I also made a cape for Gabriel, that was made from a pillow case and some teddy fleece my aunt didn’t want anymore. The real Halloween nightmare was dealing with all the shedding from those damned fabrics. The living room did not like nice.
Also the cape is cool, but it is really heavy, so I had to take it off to be able to show of the rest of her clothes and also to get her wings on.
Then in the end I added some lights to make it all amazing and magical. (I am on vacation this week and have been slightly bored.)
I was really proud with the end result, so now I feel like i have to start planning what she will wear for Christmas as well. I have some winter clothes, but it would be nice to fix something nice for her. Probably something in red.
